Making interviews and b-roll look great while keeping things flowing smoothly on set.

The video above shows work that I've worked on as a DP. In those cases you are directing the gaffer or lighting the scene yourself.

Here's a shot where I was working as the gaffer at Amazon's headquarters. I've done similar work at Microsoft
as well.

Why have a gaffer on your film?

Having a gaffer on your short film can really transform the look. On this film, I worked as the DP and we used my company's grip and electric gear. I directed the G&E team as the DP, and we had another DP work as our gaffer, assisted by a grip.

This kind of collaboration can help other filmmakers learn and grow, while producing gorgeous visuals on a budget.

Gaffer or DP - Labor - Works as Seattle Local, can travel

$750/Day Gaffer

10 hour day rate.

1.5x Overtime from 10-12 hours

2x Overtime from 12+ hours

$500/ Day

Gear list based around Intellytech Litecloths, great for interviews.

Transported in 1/2 Toyota Tundra Truck.

Able to scale up to large 15' grip truck with power liftgate.
